These are the real thing. Built to the same spec that US troops wore through the jungles of Southeast Asia, these Vietnam-era GI jungle boots combine a canvas upper with a leather lower and the signature Panama sole that sheds mud instead of holding it. A steel shank runs through the midsole for puncture protection, and screened drain vents near the instep let water out when you cross a creek. Manufacture dates range from the 1960s through the 1980s, so each pair carries genuine military provenance.

The 8-inch boot height gives solid ankle support without restricting movement. Condition is new surplus stock pulled from sealed military storage. Because these were cut to be worn with issued waffle insoles and two pairs of socks, they tend to run about one size large. If you normally wear a 10, try a 9 or plan on doubling your socks.
